By focusing on tone, using charcoal and white paint, I created texture across two piece of gray board so I could add more detail to the artwork.
With this piece I was experimenting with ink trying to show different tones in different areas of the body the model showed.

I found this fascinating statue in Ilfracombe, Devon, England - bizarrely, half the skin on the body has been peeled away showing the muscle and bones beneath.

When I took this photo this little guy was so photogenic doing little poses Infront of the camera. To create the shading from the fine line pen I used water creating an illusion of shadows in the drawing.
