About

I am Kyra Worthington, I was born in 2007 in Frodsham, a small town near Chester in the northwest of England. From a young age, I had a strong interest in visual arts, which developed into a passion during my school years.

After completing high school, I continued my creative studies at Priestley College.  I undertook an A-Level in Fine Art and a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design. With excellent guidance and an inquisitive nature, I  achieved an A grade in Fine Art and a Distinction in my BTEC course.

In my third year at Priestley, I took a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, where I further developed my skills, experimenting with new techniques and preparing a strong portfolio for future studies or creative work.

I love working in painting and drawing, and exploring themes through detailed and expressive mark-making. My tutors at college encouraged me to broaden my artistic practice, and I have experimented with a wide range of media, including sculpture, etchingtextiles, and tapestry. This has enabled me to explore beyond traditional formats and find new ways of expressing my ideas.

While I struggle to express myself verbally sometimes, I continue to explore my artistic voice, combining technical skill with a curiosity for different materials and concepts.

My art evokes both positive and challenging responses, ensuring it resonates deeply with people by engaging their hearts and their minds.
